Green Ash

The Green Ash makes a perfect shade tree for urban and rural areas. It is well known for its adaptability to grow on almost any site and soil type. With its ability to withstand many environmental stresses like high winds, summer heat, and short periods of flooding it makes a great addition to any shelterbelt or windrow.

Mature height under ideal conditions can reach 60 feet with a spread of 40 feet, and it has a medium to rapid grow rate. It's shape is upright and rounded when mature and requires little to no maintenance. It thrives in full to partial sun and makes a beautiful addition to any yard.

The hardy Green Ash has been the tree choice of landscapers and city planners to replace Elms which are susceptible to Dutch Elm Disease. Recommended spacing is 8 to 10ft.
